In response to climate change, Africa economies are shifting towards greener and more resilient practices to stimulate growth and accelerate sustainable development. The evolving economies are changing the world of work, and thus the skills required of workers. Jacob’s Ladder Africa supports green workforce preparation efforts across the continent, to nurture a new generation of workers equipped with the required skills to thrive in the Africa green economy.
We provide a platform that supports sustainable dialogue on the role of the different actors in a green economy, with bias for discussions on how to create a new generation of green jobs and prepare youth to seize these opportunities to help address the challenge of unemployment in Africa. We seek to alleviate the current state of insufficiency among the youth and empower them as the continent’s future leaders, to forge new, resilient pathway for themselves and others.
We are looking for partners who can collaborate and support our initiatives particularly powering the Africa Knowledge Hub on Green Workforce preparation. Kindly reach out
